It’s not often you get to see a major development site from above in an essentially low-rise neighborhood. Such is the case with the photo above shot by photographer f.trainer that shows big Gowanus Whole Foods site. The Whole Food property extends from Third Avenue, on the left, all the way to the Gowanus Canal, on the right. (It doesn’t include the history Litchfield Building, which is at the corner at the lower left.) The property extends back to the branch of the Gowanus that appears as a dark line in the photo.
