Anti-Building Signage Torn Down on Smith Street

June 3rd, 2007 · 2 Comments

Another development overnight in the Battle of 360 Smith Street. That’s the Carroll Gardens development sight that has sparked a noisy neighborhood revolt over the size and design of a proposed building and led to a rally that will take place on Wednesday, June 6 at 12:30. As it turns out, some of the signage that residents have put up around the exit of the Carroll Street station that would be affected was torn down last night. A resident emailed us overnight to say:

a man in a gray/silver mercedes SUV came and tore down all the signage on Smith St. on the slanted wall. Very, very creepy. A white italian-looking thirtiesh slender looking man with a cigarette in his mouth and black hair. He checked out the general area, then ripped it all down. We don’t know whether he got the mural side however…no one got a license plate.

That’s the Saturday night-Sunday morning update.

Always Get the License Plate— better yet you all with cell phone w/ a camera –take his picture amd then be sure to post it…sounds like he is the developer or works for him…why else is he trolling around the subway spot in his Silver Merc at 12:30 pm on a Sat night…..Greed bastard AND a huge loser? what no friends? no GF , no wife and kids to be with on a Sat night?

No worries, put it all back up and if it ripped down again, put it up in more places…..

Today is Williamsburg’s Don’t Demo Domino protect….you all in Carroll Gardens should throw up a few signs over in the Burg….as now its multiple neighborhoods in BK getting steam rolled by the corrupt developera and their on the take City buildings dept buddies….Bloomeberg has let Doc and the Building Dept run rampant in corruption. Is this what Bloomberg is about?

Not surprising. Scarano is an obvious slezoid. I’m sure the tear-down was his doing. I wouldn’t expect anything else from him.
