Williamsburg Gets Banged: Big Pile Driver Pounds Union Avenue

July 3rd, 2007 · 3 Comments

Union and Ainslie

We came across our favorite North Brooklyn pile driver again. Now, the Empire Pile Driver–Brooklyn’s best bang–has resurfaced at Union Avenue and Ainslie Street, which the epicenter of much Williamsburg construction east of the BQE. Those who’ve heard this baby banging away say that it’s got both size and staying power. That sweet sound of TSSSSSSSS-KER-CHUNK-KER-CHUNKTSSSSSSSS-KER-CHUNK, etc. should be hanging around the nabe for a while. Excellent!

Oh yeah….they can drill down into th ground on the site and stike oil!! then they can disturb the pool of underground oil and distribute it via underground streams into neighboring property that until now was free of oil…
