The traditional dry cleaners and laundries of Smith Street and Court Street may be dropping like flies, but there’s now a “Laundry at the Deli.” The L at the D is at 183 Smith and is still a work in progress. In addition to washers and dryers, there is a food case being installed in front and old counter-style stools. Now all they need is a liquor license so they can be a Bar Wash.

I hope this is not the same owners “Splishy Splashy” the dry cleaners that used to be in that space. They smoked in the basement, and it got in all my clothes. When I complained, they accused me of trying to get out paying.

I haven’t had a problem with this place. I like it. They’re always prompt with my dry cleaning and my laundry comes out neat and clean. What more can you ask from a laundromat? The deli idea is a bit weird, but besides that, they do function as a good laundromat.
