We can say one thing unequivocally about Barrio, the new Mexican restaurant that will be opening soon on Seventh Avenue at Third Street in Park Slope: it will be colorful. Here’s a look inside the unfinished restaurant from yesterday afternoon which shows that all the major work has been done. We got our photos the old fashioned way: by finding gaps in the paper covering the windows and hoping for the best. (UPDATE: OTBKB sets the opening date as April 21.)

Sometimes, Park Slopers look stupid and themed out. 🙂
I can’t believe that’s the same space that housed Tempo Presto and the Mojo Cafe.
Looks promising, but the above poster is right that even decent Mexican is hard to come by.

You can’t get better Mexican food than Los Pollitos I or II in park slope and sunset park.
