Williamsburg Kite Festival Flier
We can’t lie about this: we really like the Williamsburg Kite Festival. After all, what’s not to like about a day of kite flying in McCarren Park? The kite festival takes place Saturday, May 17.

Here are some details about this year’s festival:

The public is invited to attend this colorful, daylong festival of kite flying, crafts and games for all ages, which for the past 3 years has supported arts in education and fostered kinship within the diverse neighborhoods of north Brooklyn. Live entertainment will include The Hungry March Band, I.S. 318 Marching Band, Bubble do Beatles, Audra Rox, Lulu and the Amazing Jeske, Greenpoint Shotokan Karate and Metro Dance. There also will be delicious food and goodies on hand at the “neighborhood café”, and a kite hospital for your injured flyer. Join thousands of other New Yorkers in caring for our city parks on”IT’S MY PARK! Day” and support creativity in public school at this fun, free event! The WILLIAMSBURG KITE FESTIVAL is sponsored in part by neighborhood businesses and is produced by the Parents-Teachers Association of P.S.132, The Conselyea School (Elementary: Pre-K – 5th), in the heart of thriving Williamsburg.

Now, go fly a kite.
