We found this Fallout Shelter sign–and we do find them compelling in a 1950s & 1960s twisted optimism kind of way–in Williamsburg east of the BQE, in a part of town where we don’t think fallout would have been an issue so much as incineration. Unless, of course, the Soviet Union had decided to drop one on Morristown, NJ.
