City lawyers had argued that the fence was built illegally and impeded access to the Red Hook waterfront…The fence was installed, without permission, by Gowanus Industrial Park, which owns some of the land underlying the Henry Street Basin — a harbor along the Gowanus Bay in the Red Hook section of Brooklyn.”–NYT

    That is fantastic news, I remember seeing benches facing the Wall, then realizing the view of a canal was being blocked. Not worth Ikea being there in trade, but an advancement all the same.
