Here’s a very small photoset of last night’s Macy’s fireworks. It seemed to us that there were a lot of new, and very cool, shells and combinations that were set of. We’re not sure about the decision to move the barges further south than usual, but it certainly made for more dramatic viewing than usual from Williamsburg and Greenpoint, but something a little less intense than has previously been the case from Long Island City. In any case, despite the rain that started about ten minutes before show time, it was pretty cool.
