The Drama Cafe on Fifth Avenue in Park Slope has been shuttered a lot longer than it was ever opened and in the process engendered a lot more hostility than the average spot because its owner is a less than beloved figure as Brooklyn landlords go. (Hint: google Sonia Santos landlord.) In any case, the closure isn’t the news, as that happened so long ago that we forget. The property has been put on the market, however, either for sale or for rent. Perhaps the new venture will have a longer, happier life. Or not.

Finally. Maybe the year-old spoiled food, abandoned stagnant water filled containers and stored rotting garbage in the basement will finally will be cleaned up. The fat RATS that overrun the space will be sad to see their filthy playground go.
S.S. is a notorious landlord/con-artist. She has no qualms screaming expletives at adults and even little kids in front of the place; she is plain crazy.
Not to mention the long, LONG list of building/health violations and fines in the tens of thousands of dollars that remain ignored and unpaid. Good riddance to S.S. and her bad rubbish-self.

S.S., despite all the ways you wronged us, I will pray for your soul.

S.S. is garbage. The really disgusting part about the whole situation is how the city of New York has time and again ignored (or lost in the bureaucratic process) the whole situation. S.S. is literally completely insane and a threat to all the people who live in that building. Sure, they send out inspectors when complaints are filed, but in the end nothing is ever done really done to resolve the problem completely (i.e. remove S.S.). No, she continues to verbally harass and threaten the lives of her tenets. The stairs are coming to collapse. There are massive water leaks in the basement. There are rats every where. And the whole place is a huge fire hazard. Something bad is going to happen in that building sooner then later if she remains, and it’s the city of New York’s fault for ignoring the literally hundreds of warnings from the tenants.
Then, there was the lawsuit against her which amounted to nothing at all except a slew of lawyers taking all the tenets money and doing nothing to fix the problem ultimately. The whole thing is a sick joke and my heart goes out to all the people that remain in that building, because it really seems like no one cares enough to get anything done.
