We were reminded of Topshop’s McCarren Pool “hipster galleries” by a post on Williamsboard that said “this made me feel a little bit dirty.” The link, in turn, led to the topshop website and the self-described “hipster galleries” about which we have nothing to add. Interestingly, however, after yesterday’s coverage of efforts to try to find outdoor concert space to replace McCarren Pool and a link we posted on Curbed to an online petition from Jelly NYC asking for the same thing, the petition was pulled. Sever glitch? Reflection of the fact that it only had 333 signatures when it was linked? Rethinking of strategy? Eh, just enjoy the Hipster Galleries.
