To be honest, while we love the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, we sometimes find that its Chile Pepper Fiesta is a little crowded and not the nicest time to visit. That having been said, this year’s edition will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2008 from Noon–6 PM. One of the musical performers will be Pete Seeger, which we definitely think is worth noting. Here’s a bit from the BBG:

Be a part of music history with a rare public performance by Pete Seeger, Tao Rodriguez-Seeger, Guy Davis together in a Special Family Concert. Brooklyn’s young steel drum champs, the Sesame Flyers Steel Pan Orchestra, get the party sizzling amid a whirl of feathered dancers and fast and furious Caribbean rhythms. The Sauce Boss brings it to a boil with his famous gumbo spiced with foot-stomping Florida swamp blues and blistering slide guitar. Bombay songstress Falu blends her own “indie Hindi” sounds into a spicy masala of classical Indian music and alt rock. Throughout the afternoon, MCs Robbins & Ringold fire up audiences with flame eating, fire juggling, and other daring deeds.
