A long time ago, when developer Joe Sitt bought the Revere Sugar Plant property in Red Hook, it was said that the plan was to build a BJ’s Wholesale Club there. It could be coming to pass. Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz says the developer and the big box retailer are very close to an agreement on the property that used to be the site of the iconic Revere Dome. The land is adjacent to the new Ikea and has been used for overflow parking. BJ’s would require a rezoning which could, in turn, lead to an interesting rezoning fight.–Brooklyn Paper

I knew exactly what they were talking about and the other BJ would have been preferable. Stupid box stores.
