The irony of these photos isn’t so much that they show a religious procession on Smith Street, which many Brooklynites now relate to eating and drinking rather than tradition, but that the photos show the procession in front of the neighborhood’s most controversial address, 360 Smith Street. The event is the annual Our Lady of Sorrows procession. The statue itself lives on Court Street. The photos come from a special GL Correspondent. We had pics of the event last year too, along with info about 360 Smith Street which was, again, in the background of the photos.
