I have seen these posters along with another person needing to get rid of their cat of “eight years”. So, a shout out to these m-f-krs: what? did you just buy a new sofa or have a baby??? You should never have animals. So after 8 years that IKEA crap couch doesn’t repel animal fur? Or that new boyfriend is a cat hater? Which is it? That black and white cat, Mr Big that the owner had a website about and she was in the Times? “So devoted” etc etc. That idiot moved to Europe and didn’t take him with her! She left him with another idiot who was going to have the cat euthanized if she didn’t geive it away in 5 days from when she got him. All you people are irresponsible narcissists.
Thank you anonymous! I saw this posting over the weekend and then the new “humorous” one last night, and frankly I had the same reaction as you! They go on and on about this great cat and how they want a great home for her, but offer no explanation why they “can’t keep her” after all this time. It’s makes me think of my dog, who I adopted from the CACC at 7 years old, who had only had one owner his whole life who then put him into the NYC shelter system to face misery and possibly death. People need to learn that animals are not things that can be given up because they become inconvenient.
