Watch a guy dressed as a freaking banana run through Prospect Park at 750AM on a Sunday morning when it’s 18 degrees. It’s kind of little documentary that just proves how grand life can be in our favorite borough in the city so nice they named it twice.

Too much time on his hands.
Please, volunteer to work with crippled children, homebound elderly or disable vets. Don’t clog up bandwidth with this crapola.

haters. i think what we all need amid this crisis is a reminder that silly things can still make us laugh. how do you know this dude doesn’t work with crippled children all day?

You are ALL right. I do watch too much Simpsons. And, frankly, I should be volunteering more. (Although, I did help pick up trash in Crown Heights on the National Day of Service.) And to lululu, R, and Janet, I’m happy if my banana run made just one person’s day. I know that this is going to be a transformative year and that ’09 is the beginning of a new optimism.
So, get out there and do whatever you gotta do.

I work with Banana and can say he is one of the most positive people I know – always making others laugh and sharing his positive attitude. This video is just one example.
Rock on Banana!!

If being a jogging banana is wrong, I don’t want to be right! I hope we see more of banana soon.

a. What is so different about someone jogging in a banana suit as opposed to someone jogging in a sweat suit? Do you yell at all joggers to stop wasting their time—or only the ones who do not wear “jogging appropriate attire”?
b. I know from personal experience that persons who are physically handicapped do not appreciate being called “crippled” as much as mentally handicapped persons do not like being called “retarded”.
