Compared to the glacial pace of some private developments, the Fifth Avenue Committee’s supportive housing development on Fifth Ave. and 16th Street (which had moments of controversy as it was being planned), is moving like a rocket. (Our friends at Brownstoner checked it out in October when work was just getting underway.) In any case, the 35,000 square foot development will be five stories and have 49 units of affordable, supportive housing, much like another Fifth Avenue Committee development on Fourth Avenue in Boerum Hill.
