On Sunday, we passed by the big Robert Scarano development at Fourth Avenue and 13th Street, shot some photos and posted them on Monday, nicknaming it Big Bob’s House of D because one side of the buiding looks like a jail. On Monday a sign went up identifyng the new building, with a big arrow pointing to a sales office. And there it is above. Mercifully, the building doesn’t have a bizarre name, just 500 Fourth Avenue and the tag “aspire higher.” As for the website, www.500fourthave.com, it still just a placeholder. It doesn’t even give an idea of the price range of properties. Prudential Douglas Elliman will be handling sales.

Aspire Higher elsewhere because this building looks sh*t and was built like a piece of sh*t.
We put in the HVAC, all the plumbing and all the drywall studs before we put the insulation and exterior walls so that everyone can see that between each condo is NO SOLID WALL. So you will be really close to your neighbors.
Oh yeah we saw the cheap appliances on the 3rd floor exposed to the cold and rain and snow and wind and humidity.
Can we say MOLD, and other Fungi?
Another CHOPPY construction job.

12th st resident has no clue as to what he/she is talking about. I passed their preview model two weeks ago. They were kind enough to let a “neighbor” in for a view. This building is gorgeous! The appliances are all Viking. 12th st resident is clearly a bitter person that probably couldn’t afford to live in such a beautiful building. Even if he/she had the dough, he/she certainly doesn’t have the class to live in there. Stay in your frame home or apartment and be miserable…
