We haven’t seen any “Summer of Hope” press releases announcing the Cops vs. Cops NYPD Boxing at Beer Island tonight. We only saw the sign hung at the Coney beer drinking establishment announcing the event. The last such event was a Summer of Hope “Beer Brawl” in late July. Details of tonights big cop fight are on the sign.

I have nothing but RESPECT for NYC cops. They’re the REAL DEAL. Only someone who likes people and loves this city would work for the measly salary that they’re paid. And they have to put up with so much crap too.
You really have to travel thruout the US to truly appreciate NYC cops, because cops in any other American city are mostly self-important & abusive azzholes that should be shot on sight.
So the next time you see a NYC cop give ’em a hug on my behalf and if it’s a cop from any other city give ’em a quick kick in the balls and tell ’em I said hello, will ya?

This was no “Big event ” that is why this was not advertised – only a sign on the fence – Wed Afternoon.
This particular event was not sponsored nor monitored by the federal Boxing Association as the previous fights.
This is also why it started about 9 & was over before 11.
