Brooklyn Nibbles: A Glimpse Into Fourth Ave. New Ramen Spot

November 18th, 2008 · 1 Comment

Here’s a glimpse into the future ramen noodle emporium coming to Fourth Avenue and Degraw Street courtesy of GL’s E.C. Stephens. When Brownstoner originally broke news that the owners of Sheep Station would be opening it, they said they were shooting for November. Doesn’t look like they’re going to make the target, but it’s still going to be an exciting addition to the Fourth Avenue food scene. That’s the exterior below.

The best “Brooklyn ramen” can be found at IvanRamen in Setagaya, Tokyo. It is a ramenya run by a chef who used to live in Park Slope. He was profiled in the WSJ a year or so ago. The best New York ramen is Ippudo in the East Village.

I hope the Sheep Station guys know what they are doing – good ramen is difficult to make.
