This is the big parcel of land owned by developer Joe Sitt along Stillwell Avenue where rides were demolished two winters ago. People are now dumping trash there. While we don’t blame the developer for dumping the trash, we do wonder about how the property is secured and why it hasn’t been cleaned up. GL contributor Deborah Matlack snapped this photo a few days ago and the garbage had already been there for a while.

Wow…… another developers land turning into a trash dump. Why are they not held responsible for keeping things clean. If the city needs money then that would be one of many good places to start. This is not responsible development.

Thor is garbage. You know I finally did see a new development on a Thor property in NYC. The former Salvation Army center on Bond Street between Livingston & Schermerhorn now has a tenant. A WEBER’s discount store! Now that’s a true 21st century retailer!
Please let this recession knock the hammer out of Thor’s hand.
