Brook Vin, the new wine bar on Seventh Avenue in Park Slope near Tenth Street, is getting ready to open, as the window says “Soon.” It will be operated by the same people that own the wine shop across the street. There was some original concern by neighbors that outdoor seating would cause noise during warm weather months.

I don’t think I could shop at this place, considering they apparently don’t know how to pronounce “vin” properly. Or are they using some language other than French that actually rhymes “vin” with “lyn”?

I was in BNFB the other day and overheard someone asking about when Brookvin would be opening. The guy said, “Hah, 2010.” I guess there’s a hold-up with some paperwork, don’t know what though.
