We’ve had this on the GL hard drive for a couple of days, but didn’t want the week to end without showing this juxtaposition of Open House and Broken Window. We don’t know how the window was broken, as the frame showed a huge dent that made it look more like an accident than vandalism. Unless the vandals hurled a brick or cinder block at high speed. In any case, the scene of the Broken Window Open House is 30 Bayard Street, which is The Aurora on Karl Fischer Row adjacent to McCarren Park. The building is said to be 75 percent sold, which would seem to indicate that buyers are more interested in views of the park than smashed windows.
