It remains unclear what developer Joe Sitt and Thor Equities, which cleared the property, intend to with it, although they will likely try get approval for high-rise condos and a fairly large retail complex.

Reminds me of a scene from Godfrey Reggio’s “Koyaanisqatsi.” Maybe it should be called “Gowanusqatsi”?
