We’ve featured this sign before. It was relocated as part of the process of building the condos called 125 N. 10 at the corner of N. 10th and Berry. We feature it again because it’s gotten a bit tagged up since we last looked.

I love how all these construction fences in Williamsburg are all artsy and “cool”. Evoking a bygone era of homesteading artists who moved into Williamsburg for the industrial studio space. Do people really believe that they are moving into Les Halles or Montmarte or that acrylic paint will spring from their fingers once they buy into the dream? It’s a sad, vicious cycle. Artists beget posers beget yuppies. Who are they really attracting with those sidewalk shelters, anyway? There goes the neighborhood…again.
