Yogo Monster

Brace. The staff at Yogo Monster on Seventh Avenue near Union Street in Park Slope was busy getting the store ready yesterday. As the sign says, they open on Saturday, and there’s a free gift with a purchase. Oko vs. Yogo Death Match in the making or is Park Slope big enough for both of them? We’re thinking the latter.

I don’t get this infusion of Korean? yogurt stores. There is a pinkberry across the street from a tasti delight next door to another import yogurt place on Bleeker Street in the Village. I can’t remember the name. It is totally absurd. And they all use a powdered mix that is frozen. I mean, how many can this city sustain? Where is it all comming from? Why is it here? I don’t understand..And the no photo policy? Is someone planning on copying them when there are so many around as it is? I know where that tile comes from…watch out!:)

What’s with the “O” with a triple umlaut (or something)?

I think it’s suppossed to be a very graphic symbol of a round scoop of yogurt with berries on top. Or a symbol of a monster head or just some fake thing to look Japanese. Sort of like Hello Kitty with the weird, bad translations.
