Who says that Park Slope is the stroller capital of Brooklyn? Well, statistical analysis might reveal more Maclarens per capita than elsewhere, but there are other neighborhoods that can give the Slope a serious run for its money in terms of stroller jams. Our Carroll Gardens Correspondent captured this little scene outside the Tea Lounge on Court Street in Cobble Hill yesterday. We think a survey is in order to determine if the Park Slope Tea Lounges have more strollers parked outside at midday than the Cobble Hill one, or is there an unknown neighborhood champion out there?

“As if we needed any affirmation that Park Slope is the stroller capital of New York, here’s proof. [Gowanus Lounge]”

Does the New York Times Blog Roll even read the articles? Do they realize that this is an image of Tea Lounge in Cobble Hill?

Also, the only thing parked outside the Tea Lounge on 7th Ave. is teenage smokers.

So this is the result of the fight against “white flight” and suburban sprawl. I can live with it. I think…?

okay – this is like stroller entrapment. Tea lounge asks a children’s singer to come every tuesday and then he does an hour of music….what should those mother’s do, not come? Not bring their strollers? You know, strollers are actually very important. They keep children sleeping, they keep children quiet. They keep mom’s moving with young children so they can get what they need quickly and not bother all of you bitching freaks all day long. It doesn’t require any gas or energy to move a stroller, it keeps children in the city which makes for a better environment for everyone. Strollers and children are great for any community….it means its thriving. Shut the fuck up and thank those moms rather than growling at them because they’re taking up more cubic feet than you are.

we always enjoy seeing the moms of park slope try and squeeze one of those double sized strollers through the door.

Children are not meant to go everywhere, if you bring your child can you not let them run around and cause chaos……..just a thought

I like Tea Lounge ( Court Street ) very much, but why their barista Mat ( that tall one, old man with goaty ) is always sitting outside, smoking cigaretts ?
