There’s a reading from the Brooklyn Was Mine collection of writing tonight at 7:30PM at Greenpoint’s wonderful WORD bookstore at 126 Franklin Street. Contributors including Philip Dray, Rachel Cline and Joanna Hershon read and sign books at Greenpoint’s WORD. Proceeds from the sale of Brooklyn Was Mine go to support Develop Don’t Destroy Brooklyn. More about the book here in a post we did when it was published.

Music writing event featuring 33 1/3 authors Matthew Stearns (Sonic Youth’s Daydream Nation), Michael Fournier (The Minutemen’s Double Nickels on the Dime), and Amanda Petrusich (Nick Drake’s Pink Moon). The discussion will be moderated by Rolling Stone’s Jenny Eliscu.

Brooklyn Noir 3 event featuring contributors Rosemarie Yu, Christopher Musella, Dennis Hawkins, and editor Tim McLoughlin. This volume of the popular Noir series has a true crime theme.
