Roebling Oil Field East Building Coming Down

457 Driggs

The definitive expansion of the Roebling Oil Building to the west (aka the Roebling Oil Building West), with another big Karl Fischer building, is about to get underway with the demolition of buildings on Driggs Avenue between N. 9 and N. 10 Street. Plans have already been approved for the new Roebling Oil extension, which will clock in at 70 feet tall with 54 units. One assumes the Roebling Oil Empire will cover the full block if all the properties can be purchased. If you are new to the Roebling Oil issue and don’t understand the name, click here, and it will be clear.

I believe that it will be a parking lot and a garden that will be added to the site. I am not in the market, but went with a friend who was looking there. I love this building. I would move here.

Wrong, it’s going to be 2 additional buildings. The garden and garage space is already accounted for. I’ve been over there several times. It’s a nice building if you don’t mind living on top of an oil spill!
