We were on Governor’s Island during the tempest that hit yesterday afternoon and took shelter in a building until we could catch the next ferry back to a more populated island. As the ferry was waiting to depart, the sun came out, casting Brooklyn in beautiful light and creating a magnificent full arc rainbow over the borough, which is not something that one sees or, at least, manages to photograph, every day. Cue Judy Garland singing, please.
