Wolverine Chair Watch: Two Months of Glory Approaching
January 28th, 2009 · Comments Off on Wolverine Chair Watch: Two Months of Glory Approaching
The Wolverine Chair of Keap Street survives. It is deteriorating from weather. The stuff sitting atop it changes from time to time. In early January, it was metal and cups. Back in early December, it was a plastic bag. The other day it was a bottle of Corona and some juice type liquid. Also, someone […]

[Photo courtesy of Miss Heather] Yes, we know. This is clearly not a couch or a sofa. It is a chair, making it street furniture. What we like about this speciment from Diamond Street in Greenpoint is the beer on the chair. Looks like a Corona. No lime.

This chair which appears to have been attacked by wolverines has been in the same spot on Ainslie Street in Williamsburg just east of the BQE for more than a month now. The only thing that changes, from time to time, is what is sitting atop it, although it does appear to have deteriorated slightly.

[Photo for GL courtesy of New York Shitty] We end our 2008 Street Couch Series with a grand finale worthy of New Year’s Eve. It has the couch. It has the church building built in 1953. And it has the graffiti that says “fuck.” Perfection for the final hours of what has been quite a […]
